This Privacy Policy applies to our website dermatics.in, our iOS and Android apps, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

2) What we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Account & Contact Data: name, email, phone, address, password; social login ID (if used).
  • Order & Payment Data: order history, billing/shipping details; payment tokens via our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Health/Consultation Data (Sensitive): symptoms, skin/hair photos, consultation notes, chat/video metadata, AI analysis outputs that you submit.
  • Device & Usage Data: device model, OS version, app version, IP, log files, crash/diagnostics, interaction data.
  • Permissions Data: camera, microphone, photo library (only after you grant consent in-app).
  • Cookies/Similar Tech (web): for session management, analytics, and preferences.

3) How we use your data

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the Services, fulfill orders, and enable tele-dermatology consultations.
  • Show AI-assisted insights you request (e.g., image analysis).
  • Communicate about accounts, orders, support, and product/feature updates.
  • Ensure security, prevent fraud/abuse, and comply with law.
  • Run analytics and diagnostics to improve performance and reliability.

We do not sell your personal data.

4) Legal bases (where applicable)

  • Contract: to deliver the Services you request.
  • Legitimate interests: service quality, security, analytics (balanced against your rights).
  • Consent: camera/microphone/photos access; certain marketing; collection of health images you choose to upload.
  • Legal obligation: tax, accounting, regulatory compliance.

5) Sensitive data & your choices

  • Uploading health-related photos or entering symptoms is optional and done with your explicit action/consent.
  • You can delete photos/notes you uploaded (see “Your rights” below).
  • Camera/Microphone/Photos access occurs only after you grant iOS permission; you may revoke it anytime in iOS Settings.

6) Sharing & processors

We share data only as needed to operate the Services:

  • Cloud hosting & storage (e.g., reputable providers in/from [region]).
  • Payments (PCI-compliant processors; we don’t store full card data).
  • Video/voice (e.g., ZEGOCLOUD/WebRTC to enable encrypted calls).
  • Analytics/crash reporting (app performance and reliability).
  • Medical professionals/partners you choose to consult with.
  • Legal/security: to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and integrity.

All vendors are bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.

7) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and keep your device updated.

8) International transfers

Where data is transferred across borders, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and contractual protections as required by applicable laws.

9) Data retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, to provide the Services, or as required by law. You can request deletion (see below).

10) Your rights

Subject to local law, you may:

  • Access / correct your data in your account.
  • Withdraw consent (e.g., camera/mic/photos) in iOS Settings.
  • Delete content/account: email support@dermatics.in. We will delete or de-identify your personal data unless retention is required by law or for dispute resolution.
  • Ask questions via support@dermatics.in.

11) Children

Our Services are not intended for children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent.

12) Third-party links

Our Services may link to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their policies.

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We’ll post the new version with the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated via the app/website or email.
